We met at Government Primary School, Uttarakhand at the scheduled time, where 83 children awaited us on Tuesday, February 4th, in anticipation to become Climate Justice Ambassadors.
We introduced ourselves to the children, distributed the t-shirts and started the activities, made the initial presentation, started the world game. The children seemed very interested, intelligent, and aware of the situation that was occurring in the world. The place where the activity was held was in a classroom in a comfortable space for everyone.
After finishing the game of the world and the training of rhetoric, the children then broke for lunch and were able to relax a little and discuss the topics covered so far. and then we used a short moment to explain what the next step would look like and explained the recommendations the planting. After that we also conducted a session on Tunza Eco-generation and promoted our TEG platform among the students and gave them TEG leaflets, pencils, post-its etc. and reminded them to look at the TEG website to see the wonderful work carried by all of us.
After this, we started the Project Creations, and at this stage, the children were super excited, so we were able to successfully complete the projects, revised the rhetoric and all the teams presented their idea. We had projects on water reuse, recycling, and green gardens, among others. We finished the presentations of the projects, and the School Head was very grateful for our presence, thanked us, as well as the class teachers, who encouraged the children to continue passing on to others what they learned throughout the day. At the end of the academy we also planted 15 native trees with children. We invited the children to the school yard, reviewed and made recommendations on how the planting would take place, and shortly thereafter we separated into groups of 6 to 7 children, together with Eco club representatives. After the planting was done, the children pledged to take care of the trees planted there, we took pictures to remember this day, we said goodbye and we finished. |

Hello Dharmendra
It must have been a precious experience for both the children and yourself!
Children had an opportunities learn about important environmental concepts not just in the classroom, but outside of it where they could actually plant the trees by themselves. It will stay in their memory for a long time and make them into a great environmental activists!

Hello Dharmendra!
It's Lisa.
I am just really amazed at how you never lose your passion and keep working so hard to have more children included in this environmental agenda. Raising people's awareness and especially those of the young persons are such a critical mission that we all have to feel responsible for!
Great work and keep inspiring us:)
