I have watched an Indian movie Robot 2.0 that distinctly focusses on how technologies affect environment; how birds are affected by the radiowaves and various microwaves and several waves of alternating frequency. If the intensity of waves corsses threshold it directly harms the birds and as if one part of ecosystem is greatly disturbed and it certainly causes imbalance in other aspect of ecosystem and in a whole environment where we live in including ourselves.
Prime minister of Netherlands goes to work by bicycle. More than a quarter of trips in the Netherlands 2016 were made by bike. He explains why it’s long been such a phenomenon: “The Dutch love cycling because we are a small country. We have to get from A to B. And of course taking a car, yes, is an option, but you have congestion plus the environmental impact. From the old days, almost from the late 19th century, we're used to taking a bicycle.” (https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2019/09/why-i-ride-my-bike-to-work-by-the-prime-minister-of-the-netherlands/) While in the scenario we are more being inclined to online marketing or online classes or let me take we are connecting to one another by internet using smartphones or other devices. And do you know? Smartphones and data centres are damaging to the environment and will have the biggest carbon footprint in the tech industry by 2040, researchers have found. It doesn't mean we have to stop it's use however we must use to the certain limit only. Technology is the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes; it hasn't certain criteria; it may be a small needle, bicycle or a big machines and devices; in other words, is a double-edged sword-one capable both of doing and undoing damage to environmental quality. In what follows, we look at technology and the environment in four key areas: energy, climate, water quality, and waste cleanup. Environmental technology is the application of the environmental science to conserve the natural environment and resources, and to curb the negative impacts of human involvement. Sustainable development is the core of environmental technologies. Environmental technology is also known as envirotech. Examples include carbon-scrubbing filters, waste reduction technologies, water purification machines etc. The use of technology may affect the environment positively or negatively. ... Reusing, recycling, and using fewer resources can reduce environmental impacts. Resources such as oceans, fresh water, and air, which are shared by everyone, need to be protected by careful planning and regulation of technological systems. Also known as clean tech, green tech and environmental tech, eco-friendly technology can help preserve the environment through energy efficiency and reduction of harmful waste. Green tech innovators use the latest environmental science and green chemistry to reduce the harmful impact of human activity on the earth. Sustainable technology relies on resources that are either renewable or so abundant that we can treat them as such. For technology to be sustainable also means that using it does not have any long-term adverse impact on the environment. The minimization of waste and emissions and reductions in material and energy inputs are the most important environmental aims. Sustainable technological development and innovations do not automatically lead to total reduction of environmental burden of industrial production. Examples of green technology in production include, for example, processes to recycle water or waste in the manufacturing process and the installation of energy-efficient fixtures such as LED light bulbs and flushless toilets. Hardware, software, know-how, and other technologies are an essential tool for sustainable development. They can be instrumental in ensuring that people: - have access to clean water (through water purification, efficiency, delivery, and sanitation technologies); - have access to energy that is clean, affordable, and sustainable (e.g., through energy-efficient technologies and technologies that use alternative sources of energy); - live in a less toxic environment (e.g., by putting in place alternative agricultural and industrial technologies that reduce the quantity and toxicity of the raw materials and processes, as well as treatment techniques); - live in a more stable environment by mitigating the effects of climate change (e.g., more energy-efficient processes and emissions control) and adapting to climate change (e.g., using GIS to assist in land use planning); and - are able to more effectively and efficiently manage natural resources; While discussing about environment and technologies, we have also read several environmental books and watched environmental films that mainly included the influence of technology in environment; mostly negative portion is highlighted in the films with the Moto of awareness however some positive impacts of technology is also seen. One of greatest challenges that countries — especially developing countries — face in realizing sustainable development is obtaining and putting in place the necessary technologies. While access to technology depends to some extent on financial resources, it is not only a financial issue. In many instances, legal and institutional frameworks impede the development, import/export, transfer, and use of technologies for sustainable development. Quotas and tariffs can affect the ability to import technologies. Similarly, subsidies may promote the use of technologies that may waste energy, water, or other resources. Moreover, decision makers should consider cultural norms when selecting and putting in place technologies. This is a great report with some thoughts about the relationship between technology and the environment. Of the many points in this article, I agree the most with the point that technology itself is not bad. It's just how human society uses it that will either destroy or preserve the environment. Fortunately, some leaders of the world are focusing on the sustainable development, so I hope there happen to be some wise implementation of technologies.

I really like how you started your report with an example that's very catchy!
I strongly agree with you in that technology has both sides and your last sentence in the report I think best represents its dual nature. It's a matter of how we use it as you have said. Also, instead of only relying on the development of technologies that have the potential to resolve the problems, we should aim to prevent them as much as we could.
