My tryst with Environment at My School Eco-Committee Fellow Ambassadors, I remember my school days where I was an active member of the School Eco-Committee. In fact my mom was also an active parent member & we carried out lot of activities together. My school is an eco-conscious institution that has achieved many accolades and awards in this sphere. We have developed an Eco-park in our school where lot of recycled & waste materials is put to use. We have used computer screen cases as flower pots. Used tyres have been decorated, so many such discarded material is used to beautify this corner. We have solar panels for generating electricity. Segregated waste bins have been kept throughout the school so that minimal waste goes to the landfills. They are just examples not an exhaustive list. My school DPS, Sharjah is a leading educational institution in the UAE that cares & protects the environment. In fact we have been bringing old newspapers to the school so that they may hand over to the local recycling agency. Friends, where there is a will there is a way. You may also approach your respective institutions in order to partake in environmental activities. This will help the Mother Earth & will motivate other members of the society as well. What an environmental friendly institute you are in! Your school is full of environmental programs and actions that can contribute to sustainable development. This kind of institute certainly affects the local community since those students go back home and spread the lifestyles that doesn't damage the nature. Your ideas are really amazing! I think it's really great how you are influencing people to care for the environment by providing an example yourself! I really can see how great those places are by the picture! Especially those bottle vases on the wall in the last picture, I didn't notice them first, just thought they are decoration vases that are sold in the market!!!
Great job and I am sure that many will be inspired:)
