Hello guys, I successfully organized my program about PLASTIC POLLUTION: school awareness at Rampur Secondary School, Bharatpur 15, Rampur, Chitwan on the date of November 10, 2019. It was my happy moment when I got successful to share my knowledge to the students and to listen them. Also, I actively involved with them to make their school premises clean and free from plastic waste.
But I was literally shocked when I knew, there are no any dustbins at the school. This is a secondary level government school where most students are from poor economic background. About 450 students are studying, and there is not even one dustbin to manage the waste produced by students at the school. They are just using some old sacs. I asked the principle and teacher staffs about the problem. They said they have requested government and non government organizations but failed to get it. After program, I asked myself that I taught them to reduce plastic waste, not to throw outside and clean school premises every day but is it practically possible if there are no any dustbins inside their class? I decided to raise some money by requesting my friends, seniors and teachers to buy some dustbins for the school. As an ambassador of Tunza Eco Generation, I feel that I cannot avoid the problems related to the environment, and mother earth. The school needs at least 12 small size dustbins in each classroom and 5 large sizes for the corridor and playground. The guy in the photo is David, my friend travelling Nepal from US. When I shared the problem and idea to solve it, he gave me Nrs. 500 as a donation to buy dustbins with good wishes, and some suggestions. I am very thankful to him for his support and I gifted him some tuna promotional gods too. Here, I have already made a way to help the school children. My dear friends, what do you think about this project? It would be easy, and great for me if I get support from you guys too. I hope you will help me to complete this project successfully, and I am waiting for your valuable suggestions too.

Hello Bal Krishna
Thank you for sharing the small but important problem in the school you visited. In the point of view from the students, it would be really hard to live as what they learned because there they can't just stop using plastics from tomorrow, and there was no dustbin in the school. By successfully completing the project, they will get to formalize lifestyles in dealing with plastics.
Keep up with your great work.
I hope to read your next report.

Welldone Balkrishna !
Its so sad to hear unavailability of even a single dustbin in one of the known government school in a metropolitan city of Nepal . I think similar condition prevails in different regions of Nepal as well .We must all join our hands to provide dustbin to every schools of Nepal. If you need my help ,then I am always ready for it.

Hello Balkrishna Dai,
I do agree with your ideas,
There should be the provision of dustbin for the proper disposal of waste materials,
Only then students can be made aware of throwing the dust on proper place,
You can also organize a programme where you may encourage student to use such unused and thrown product and make some creative items and organize an auction for this product which on one hand will reduce waste otherhand by the money you get it will help your project to some extent, it will be so much interesting too.
keep doing such a great work,
Looking forward to read much more from you,
For any help that you think I could do please don't hesitate to talk to me dai,
Yours,
Sandhya

Hello BalKrishna dai!!!
I hope you are fine and doing great.
I really like yours report.
It is really astonishing to know about such a fact that is hardly acceptable.Provision of dustbin should be made mandatory to all school.
Sacs can never replace the use of dustbin.
Keep writing and shining.
Hope to know more from you.
Warm regards,
Meena

It is good idea to elaborate the knowledge about plastic pollution in school level. But the problem of dustbin is very common in such school .I think some charity programme can help to solve this problem.
