Uganda's Oil: Safer Methods Required

by | 30-08-2014 20:06 recommendations 0

After seeing the damage of oil spillage during drilling in Niger Delta, Nigeria, I begin to wonder as to whether the damage of the land was really worth it.

The Government of Uganda has said there is oil in the land that can be drilled. However, no safer methods are being introduced to check oil spillage when extraction starts.

The oil region as usual is in the aquatic habitat and this means that aquatic life would be killed.

I am not an engineering student so I do not know what this safer methods would be but anyone with any such idea should share and I would gladly forward them to the appropriate bodies involved.
