Universal Planetarium- Nepal?s First Planetarium was founded in 2012 with the company name Universal Amusement Private Limited in Kathmandu by the group of young visionary people from different field with the vision to promote and educate the modern need in the area of science.  The major objective of the organization is to make most creative way of making learning interactive and unforgettable learning experiences.

On 26 August the Universal Amusement Private Limited organized a mega event on the chemical science in history of Nepal named ?Chemical Curiosity? hosted by Jorden Shiddki.  This program firstly was developed by Royal Institute of London with the help of Scientist Prof Chris Bishop, Department head of chemistry, Cambridge University. They showed dramatic demonstration of chemistry that are part of our everyday life to the students of different Schools like Horizon English School, Bhasara School, LMV School, of  lower to high school students. 400 students participated in the program along with the school management committee. The subject matter in the program dealt with the academic syllabus of the Government of Nepal and extra more. It was a live learning experience to each student.

The program incorporated understanding of acid base relation, rate of reaction, oxidation reduction reaction, dry ice experiment, Clock reaction, State of matter (Formation of nylon), Chemistry of fireworks, coloured flame, exothermic - endothermic reaction, Demonstration of oxygen preparation, nitrogen preparation, Liquid nitrogen , ratio of hydrogen and oxygen via live display. Students from every school enthusiastically volunteered in the program. Many students interacted very passionately to Mr. Shiddki to solve their query about the chemistry.

I got to be part of this historic event because of generous invitation from principle of Horizon School Mrs. Binita Nakarmi. In my opinion the program was very fruitful. They explained the chemistry so simply clarifying examples from the domestic ingredients present in kitchen. The live display of chemical reaction, reversible reaction attracted their attention more. So this program encouraged and aware the School managements that only theoretical learning is not enough practical is also required. From this program students learned something different and can do something different from now on.
