In view of UAE banning incandescent bulbs in the country your report is quite informative. CFL contains mercury, thus is unsafe for disposal.
LED is the future of lighting.

thanks for the post Humaid. LED lights are simply amazing considering it assumes only 5-6 volt and provide us the light brighter than what CFL gives us at !5-1 volt electricity consumption. Its life span is simply amazing. Considering these advantages we replace our CFLs with these LED light at our home. :)
