Solar and Trees

by | 10-10-2014 03:15 recommendations 0

While making a visit our capital city Kathmandu during my holidays some construction work was going on in the road. The workers were taking out the old bulbs, doing something on the pole, some were digging in the road as well.

Next day while passing through the same road, there was some changes in street light and some slight modification in road as well. All those street lights were changed if or solar powered light, trees were grown in the road ( making avenue and boulevard). This made me really happy to see such eco friendly changes in the city. This might be common in developed countries but it's a new and we coming practises in our cities area.

Solar energy needs to be promoted specially in the cities like kathmandu where we have sunshine almost everyday.  If municipality acts as the pioneer for this then implementation of such eco friendly energy use becomes easy.

And of course walking in the road where trees are planted provide us different sense of pleasure part from providing us with oxygen and intaking the harmful toxic gases. Trees adds beauty to the road and makes environment so delightful.

Solar power should be popularised in towns and cities as well( in some rural areas where transmission lines are difficult to establish solar energy was made chief source of energy for daily activities. This got instant hit in such regions).  Not only limiting to the street lights, solar energy should be used in home appliance as well.
This activity of municipality is appreciable. Let's all of us plant tree in our home as well and use solar power. For sun is the perpetual source of energy.

Thank you Keoleboge for the comment. Solar powered technology are Natural, perpetual and clean source of energy
@Sabin Back here in NARC(Maize), which is situated in AFU premises, has recently made solar energy as the chief source of energy. This is an encouragement for other governmental offices and for students like us.

Recently the local and national government are doing great to improve the environmental condition of the capital city. Having resided here for more than a decade now, I think that the government is serious in this regard and plans to make kathmandu clean and green.
Here in the Tunza ecogeneration I have been posting different initiations taken in the capital city inorder to improvise the condition and awaring the general public.

Solar lights have been now installed in many busy ringroads of the kathmandu valley, after the pilot project for it was successful one year ago.

The government is doing great and now it plans to join the solar power directly with the national grid and for this scientist from NAST is working closely with ministries and the government.

Thank you Rahul for sharing about the development, the sustainable one in kathmandu.

That's an epic move for city Mr Rahul Acharya, you know words like sunshine, solar, oxygen, renewable not only make such a good part of our vocabulary. They adjoin us to a goal we are all working towards- A green peace motive that's where we are heading towards. Solar powered technology is of paramount importance to our ecological system in that it is not only the chief energy source but it is also natural and therefore clean. For some of us who have the advantage of having this energy form to sustain our daily needs we really have no excuse to engage to our maximum ability as much as we can-it is renewable anyways...
