Sharjah Environment Awareness Award (SEAA) |

The 2013 World Environment Day was one of the best days of my life. It was in this momentous day that I won the Sharjah Environment Awareness Award in the Outstanding Student category. It was a joyous occasion for myself, and my parents who were extremely happy on me on having won this award. It was also a proud moment for my school. I was given a prestigious crystal trophy with my name embedded on it, a certificate as well as a cash prize of AED 10,000 (approx. USD 2800). I was judged on environmental leadership skills, organizing and initiating activities in school, knowledge on the environment and local and international participation in environmental activities. The primary objective was to spread awareness to the community and make them to be more involved. My efforts towards environment protection and achievements were announced prior to giving me this prize. It was a moment of joy and pride when I was receiving the memento from the chairperson of Bee?ah, Mr. Khaled Al Huraimel. It was my achievement in the field of environment following the Sharjah Sustainability Award. After the win I was also featured in many national newspapers online as well as print. I would like thank Tunza Eco Generation whole heartedly being an integral part in helping me getting this award by encouraging me for environment activities. And as well as acknowledging me by selecting me as an ambassador. And I would also like to thank Tunza for the ambassador goods. This award was a big encouragement for me and served as a motivation to continue my activities with more zeal and enthusiasm. That was indeed a momentous occasion for all 3 of us . Best part is that all the 3 winners are Tunza Eco Generation Ambassadors.Congrats again Humaid , keep going. Thanks for sharing. Such awards motivate us to do better and continue going on the path of sustainability & green living.
