" NEW BEGINNING " a Project Model for Food Recycling in Yemen |
---|
for the last 3 continues years , we are working in such project called " New Beginning " as a project model for Food Recycling and Sustainable Development in Yemen. " New beginning " is a project aimed at promoting and maintaining Social youth Development , designed and Implemented by a Youth Initiative called : " Eyoon Shabah " it means in Arabic ( Eyes of Youth ) . The project mainly stands for and hopes to eventually succeed in achieving is creating a new concept of living and coexistence amongst various categories in the society. That is, the project seeks to create a concept of recycling ranging from food to include job opportunities and the re-use of surplus materials around us to create a continuous, healthy and developing society. The projects Goals are : 1- Create a friendly environment by following the best methods of packaging food and the usage of leftover food as natural fertilizer.
3- Promote inter dependence in the society by involving various parts of society to create a participatory environment.
6- Provide volunteer opportunities for willing volunteers and youth throughout the year through the "New food" campaign. ـــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــ In every year we choose a restaurant and we work on it for 10 to 15 days , and within these days we recycle the remaining food in the restaurant and come out with more than ( 80- 100 daily) the full meal for one person consist of ( Rice , chicken or meat , Bread , Salad and Fruit ) . One of our highly principle is to make sure that the food we provide is totally clean , healthy and covered in a proper way that looks like a new meal but not a recycling one . We make sure to use in our work and in the process of backing and covering the food , a friendly materials to the environment , means we didn't use Plastic except Gloves , but we use a cartoon plates and boxes . You will notes that in the photos attached below , and I recommend all of you IF you want to know more about the whole project , Kindly watch the video of it in my YouTube Channel in this link : www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkrq0EbvJeA ____________________________ ** " Eyoon Shabah " has so far been an active youth initiative since its foundation in 2008 with a mission of rising awareness on the importance of social development and volunteering. The initiative follows examples of other countries which hold high significance to volunteer and social work. |

Great minds think alike. I give you thumbs up though for being a step ahead Mr Sadam. Having our mind geared towards the re use and recycle way is the ultimate goal we can ever achieve. I am also attached to your 3rd and 4th objectives of creating inter dependence in community-like i have always mentioned young people are agile and fresh with their manuvouring capabilities, when coupled with older mature minds they give a good complement of 'job description' Every one in society gets to have a role to perform then. Also displaying a clean look with food you use-this may help indulge more youth to the project as much as creating job opportunities.
