IMPORTANCE OF FOREST IN DAILY LIVES

by | 30-04-2012 20:15 recommendations 0

Today the given ecosystem is hampered by deforestation and desertification. Many people still dont understand the importance of trees. In Bangladesh southern region there is Sundarbans forest, the worlds largest mangrove forest and home to Royal Bengal Tiger. During the cyclone Cidr in 2008 many people in Bangladesh became homeless. Many people died out of diseases. Next year a cyclone was supposed to hit Bangladesh but it took a turn to Myanmar and 25000 people died in the first night. Later there was a research on this and it was found that Sundarbans forest diminished the speed of cyclone and the damage done was minimum. So we understand how a forest can save a million lives such as Cyclones. Even in USA despite so many precautions people die of cyclones. So we Bangladehis are blessed. Besides if u have trees in river the river banks does not get eroded. Every year 20 000 people loose their homes because the cruel river takes all the land. Planting trees on the banks will hold the soils in the banks tight and there will be less erosion. So in our next summit I request everyone to keep a discussion on tree plantation. Its clearly illustrated that how important trees are. Therefore I also want advices from all the ambassadors and environmentalist how can I plant more trees in the affected region and how can u plant a lot of trees in all badly affected areas within 2 years. Otherwise Bangladesh will be the most vulnerable region in the world. I will accept any advices or comments thankfully. Please post your ideas to make this initiative a realty.

Eco Generation

  • Eco Generation says :
In Turkey, there're great gift for baby.
People give the baby trees in the baby shower.
The trees will be planted with the name of the baby.
So, the baby will be remembered by a tree and as soon as the baby born, Eco-friendly life begins.

Very nicely written - Seraj ! There is also the issue of human encroachment into the Sunderbans and the threat of poaching.
