Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE script>AR-SAscript> MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Recently, I had visited the IKEA store in Dubai.
IKEA is a home furnishing store famous for its efficient and space saving home storage solutions.
I have always been fascinated by the innovative ways in which its designers come up with innovative home solutions that are constantly updated.
During my visit to the store this time, I took notice of an especially interesting corner.
This section of the store called the ?Bargain Corner ?sells those items that are slightly faulty at a reduced price. Instead of disposing of these items, they are sold at a reduced rate to the customers who are willing to purchase them.
On seeing this, I approached the manager and commended him on his staff?s initiative in taking this step to minimize wastage.
Hopefully, such innovative initiative that reduces the carbon footprint will continue in the future with more to come.

Yeah it is also a way to push their outcomes efficient and effectively. Also people are not force to buy before knowing what faulty the properties have. I think its a win win solution for this matter. Good Job IKEA, and thanks for sharing this.

Thanks for the report, Aasha.
IKea is always pioneer in Green initiatives.
They have introduced paper bags for shopping many years ago. These bags are eco-friendly, recyclable & quite sturdy. I have never noticed the bag falling apart.
This is also a commendable initiative.

Wow. If all the big companies contribute something to help nature, that would be great. I like IKEA's furniture design and now I adore them even more:) Companies shouldn't aim for too much benefits for themselves. Some big companies ruined nature to make money and when I know which company pollutes environment, I usually stop using the goods or services of that company. I don't like the idea of supporting the company to gain more money and continue polluting environment.
