UAE's grand annual shopping festival "Dubai Shopping Festival(DSF)" is going on. This year too it is emphasising on sustainability.
Second year in row , DSF has put up sustainable OTB(Out of The Box) market made from refurbished shipping containers.
More than 55 retailers are participating in this OTB markets and some businesses are also operating out of wooden hutlike stands.
A main theme of the OTB is sustainability — in environment and business. There is a cubic structure made from recycled bottles that is being hosting panel discussions on the topic by industry experts. The idea of using refurbished containers as storefronts also fits into the theme.
This goes to prove that retailers can do without buying or renting permanent shops in the city , but by using refurbished or temporary materials .

I visited OTB market in Downtown Dubai a few days ago. This was an amazing experience. Will share the same through a report with pictures of my visit. Thanks Arushi.
