As a part of our SEW Project, The Eco Minions in collaboration with Agri Youth Nepal conducted ?University Cleanliness and Dustbin Installation Program? with the theme ?Environment Protection, Cleanliness and Sustainability, A dream of our University?  at our university premises under my co-ordination.

The program was done at two places one at ?Agriculture Block? and another at ?Veterinary Block?. At first, we had little formal session and we gave the ?map? of our program. And then we started our cleanliness program simultaneously at both blocks and after the cleanliness program we installed dustbin at various location and also signed in ?Commitment Paper? too.

Here is the list of activities we performed:

Cleanliness Program

At first, we started our cleanliness campaign from the main university gate. Then we divided ourselves into two groups- one for agriculture block and other for veterinary block. This was done to encompass more area into our campaign. We separately collected degradable and non degradable wastes. We collected plastics, papers, rice straws, weeds and other grasses that grew on the way. We had the participation of our teachers, non teaching staff, canteen staff and university students or in other word whole university was into the program.

Dustbin set up

After the cleanliness program, we set up dustbin (20 dustbins altogether) at various location including the main gate, veterinary hospitals, dormitories and canteens and academic buildings.

Commitment Sign in and Formal Session

Giving continuity to our event, we had small formal session in which we had the gracious presence of Prof. Dr. Kailashnath Pyakurel(Vice Chancellor), Dr. Surya Kanta Ghimire(Registrar) , Prof Dr. Dilli Ram Baral (Dean of Agriculture Faculty),Prof Dr. I.P. Dhakal (Dean of Animal Science,Veterinary Science),Prof Dr. Madhav Kumar Shrestha(Director of Post Graduate Studies Center) Prof Dr. Nabaraj Devkota(Director, Directorate of Research Extension), Prof Dr. Jagat Lal Yadav(Director, Examination Controller),Prof Dr. Dainik Bdr Nepali(Farm Director), Prof Dr. Mohan Prasad Sharma(Director of Continuing Education Center),Dr. Sharada Thapaliya(Planning Chief) Dr. Arvind Kr Srivastav(Director of Directorate of Student Welfare), Dr. Hom Bahadur Basnet sir, our Nirajan Bhattrai (Patron of SEW Project), Bhim Spakota sir, Sramika Rijal mam, Kalyani Mishra Mam. And to make our campaign even more effective we signed in ?Commitment Paper? of all those respected delegates and administrators and university students, non teaching staff and canteen staff as well.

We were really elated to see the presence of respective administrators in a single stage and adding glory to our program. We are blessed to have their support and receive very positive comments from them. What?s more during the short formal program they congratulated us and promised us to assist us in coming days as well. (We believe this to be our achievement. And this has further renergised us to give steady flow to our mission.)
