With the current energy depletion rate, it's not far away when the energy crisis will be seen everywhere. For us, it's we ourself that's responsible for the situation. Some continues to live with this, while some, like us, become a change maker. People around the globe are continuously involved in bringing an advance technique of uses of non renewable resources.
Our city have power shortage everyday. For at least two hours everyday, the entire city is dark. Not many can afford a inverter for backup power supply. So me and some fellow minded guys like me decided to implement solar lights everywhere in the city. The first project was established at our school with the help of school authorities and parents.
A total of 12 solar plates was established within the school. The solar plates was accomplished with a reflector, so as to get maximum lights. On 27th December, the project was finished and started to show it's capabilities. The plates were charged up for the entire day. And to test the output power of those plates, our team decided to stay at the school for the entire night. We tested the plates up to it maximum limits for winter season. With the size of the plates, the results were more than our expectation. A total of 30 lights bulb of 10 watt each ran continuously for almost, the entire night.
We also had an interview next day with the local media on our initiative. And since then we have been getting hundreds of email, calls to support this. We have also been contacted by some sponsors to lead this project to mass level. They have also given us the contract of cleaning some particular area, the area which are covered with waste. Soon enough, almost the entire school of my city will start installing solar plates.

Great initiative Basu.
The panels have a life at least 20 years and since yourself clean them and also take care of the batteries, they will happily produce electricity for so long, maybe changing batteries every some years.
This is an one off investment which offers long term green solution to a so important problem.
This is sustainable development.
