4th. February - Car free day in UAE |

When we talk about big phrases like climate change, pollution, conservation of energy etc, many a time, people are not very much convinced about what they can do to contribute towards green movement. But alongwitrh spreading awareness, many things we can do with our minimum efforts. UAE, as a pioneer towards green movement, organize "Car free day" on 4th. Feb each year and each year the no of participants are increasing. I have campaigned within our green Brigade group to leave the cars atleast tomorrow and use public transport (by force!!) and would like to urge all to convey the same message within your known circle so that we as a team can contribute globally. |

Well reported Unmesh. With the fast developing Public Transport network in the UAE is has become far more practical to observe Car Free day.

I saw your campaign on FB , Unmesh and shared it through my various pages. Car Free day and such campaigns are really good ways to highlight the importance of public transport in reducing carbon footprint .

15-20 % of CO2 emissions by car only. That's tremendous amount and celebrating car free day is quite interesting.at leasr for a day there will be 15-20% of less CO2 emission as well. Thanks for the share Unmesh

Unmesh because of these awareness campaigns every year the number of cars on the roads on car free day are decreasing. This is a very effective way to reduce the individual carbon footprint and the carbon dioxide emissions of UAE as a whole. Thanks for sharing.
