GREEN THE GENE - VOLUNTEERING WITH US! WHO WE ARE Green the Gene is an international completely youth-run, non-profit environmental organisation, founded in 2004 by a small group of passionate, determined, and concerned youth. Today, with 18 year old Founder & President Madhav Datt, we are successfully building a global grassroots movement for positive environmental action through over 4500 children and youth volunteers from schools and universities across 42 countries, making us one of the largest completely youth run environmental organisations in all of Asia and Africa. WHAT WE DO 10 years ago, when Green the Gene started out as an environmental club in Faridabad, India, we took up small scale projects involving our school and community. Today, Green the Gene's team is on youth panels for environmental policy making on inter-governmental levels, however, even today, on-ground initiatives and youth mobilization actions remain right at the heart of our work, all over the world. VOLUNTEERING Within Green the Gene we are in constant need of voluntary help in all fields of work, varying from project management, to fundraising, communications, and all other issues we come up with. Due to challenges of our projects, the constant changing needs, and the pressing need for youth-led environmental action, we encourage everybody to join us, even if you have no experience working with an organization. We are looking for dedicated people with a passion for the environment. Because of the innovative background of our projects we are looking for enthusiastic and talented people for our organization. We often need help in all areas of expertise, so if you want to help in any way, please fill out the application form and let us know you are available. To join Green the Gene, you must be under the age of 24, and be willing to offer your expertise and help on a voluntary basis. I didn't know , Madhav , that your "Green the gene " is so big and internationally present. Hats off ! Keep up the good work. My cousin stays in Faridabad . I would advise him to join this , would give him your details.
