BRAZILIAN COMMERCIAL FOREST

by Luiz Bispo | 12-03-2015 00:24 recommendations 0

Commercial forest is a sort of tree plantation to provide people with products that come from wood and forest sources. Usually, Eucalyptus and Pines are the trees used in commercial forests by companies and institutes.

A significant amount of product can originate from commercial forest such as furniture, stationary items (eraser, pencil and paper), tires, cosmetics, small wood objects (toys and decoration accessories). Moreover, a lot of commercial forest wood goes to coal industries.

According to the Brazilian Commercial Forest Production Association, Brazil obtains 7, 0 millions of hectares of this kind of forest and it is well known around the world. In Brazil, 100% of paper and cellulose production come from commercial forest of Eucalyptus and Pines. This type of forest requires a specific treatment to soil, water supply and biological plant characteristics. It is necessary to manage the area properly since the period that the plant is allocated in greenhouse to the field till harvesting process.

The main idea for commercial forest planting is that instead of cutting down natural forest to supply industries, such forests are created and managed to avoid exploitation of native trees and also protect natural ecosystems. In addition, commercial forests acquire the capability to absorb substantial amount of carbon dioxide of the atmosphere and provide citizens with job and improve country economy.

Although commercial forest is like an artificial and homogeneous one but it significantly absorb CO2 and release O2. In Indonesia, there is also commercial forest. So people no need to cut tress from tropical forest. Every tree that has been cut in commercial forest, will be replaced with the new one. Well done Luiz
