SIMRAN VEDVYAS, REPRESENTING U.A.E. OUTSHINES AT INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FORUM 2012- NEW DELHI, INDIA 24th June to 29th June, 2012

 

As stated in the Media Releases-

Young, and every determined to be instrumental in bringing about the change the world needs today for a better future we all want –not only for ourselves but for the future generations to come.  Today, Simran Vedvyas is very well known amongst 550 delegates, speakers and organizers from over 75 countries attending the International Youth Forum 2012, New Delhi- India.  She is a student from The Millennium School Dubai chosen as the youngest delegate due to high level of accomplishments and achievements and with special approvals as her application to the Forum was rated amongst top applications.  Enthusiastic and proud of her contributions to the society Simran approached the Chief guest who was none other than Shri Shashi Tharoor ; an Indian Member of Parliament (MP), until 2007, he was a career official at the UN, rising to United Nations Under-Secretary General for Communications and Public Information. He was the Chief Guest and inaugurated to announce the Forum Open and his speech was so interesting that it mesmerized one and all present.

Simran says- I am participating in the MIG- SESSIONS- Model Indian Governence that will allow me to learn about the proceedings of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha, virtually.  At IYF 2012, it is for the second time ever that the model governance session is being organized in India.  Simran is chosen to represent and discuss the Position Paper of MY State - Dubai- UAE at Model Indian Governence as Lok Sabha Member

Simran made a presentation of her work and what led to her being chosen as the Torch Bearer for the London Olympics Games2012.  She is chosen amongst Top 10 Speakers and successfully delivered the speech on Youth and Environment.

 

Apart from the serious discussions, debates, speeches and sessions the participants of the forum have got the opportunity to participate in the Global Village and also in the Fashion Show Extravaganza.

    Due to high level of accomplishments and achievements and with special approvals as my application to the Forum was rated amongst top applications; though after I reached here I knew that that there were students from IIT and IIM and top rates institutes and I got a chance to make friends with some enterprising Youth. I made a presentation of my work as "YOUTH AND ENVIRONMENT" and what led to my being chosen as the Torch Bearer for the London Olympics Games 2012. I was chosen amongst Top 10 Speakers.
