Ghana, one of the developing countries in the world today face this huge problem of keeping their environment clean. Science has told us that failure to keep our environment clean has resulted in illness such as malaria, cholera, pipe borne disease, and many more.
The board of governance of Ghana has therefore set Saturday aside for all hands in Ghana to participate in clean-up activities. The exercise, which is observed monthly of every first Saturday
This is simply because of the following reasons:
1. Regular general cleaning: The country has taken a giant step in increasing its sanitation growth by organizing regular general cleaning .This is done first Saturday in every month. People from all part of the country (cities, municipalities, towns, villages among others) are engaged to offer their all and all in helping the country in the era of sanitation by cleaning of gutters, sweeping (around market squares, beaches )and weeding of grasses at inappropriate places. This was a campaign which engaged Ghanaians to their countries sanitation development. Moreover the Zoom lion Ghana Limited came to establishment and this company has helped organized people to do everyday cleaning in the country by providing them with all necessary tools ( such as brooms, wheel barrows, shades, rakes, gloves among others) for effective work.
2. Public Education: The country has trained and equipped people to educate the public on the importance of sanitation. Due to this activation, the public have been made aware about the positive and negative effects of poor sanitation and this has made people to keep their environment clean.
3. Recycling companies: As a result of this general cleaning, the country has helped in putting up some recycling companies which is helping recycle some waste substances which will be used in the production of new products which will be of much importance to the country.

Thank you for informing us of the sanitation status in Ghana. Even Ghandi once said that sanitation is more important than the independence of India. It's that important. Your community is lucky to have a bright youth like you, Noah! Keep going on doing the good works :D
