On 24th. July 2012 in India we have celebrated 63rd. Bana mahontasab. The word - "Bana" is a Hindi word and it's mean Forest. The " Mohatsab" means Great Festival. Every year every local forest officers and others agencies take initiative to celebrate this program to involve all local peoples and plan for large number of plantation.
In our locality the Dhalbhum divisional forest officer (DFO) Karma Bhutia and conservator of forest (afforestation circle, Jamshedpur) Sanjeev Kumar declared as much at the 63rd Van Mahotsav celebrations at Jamshedpur Women?s College on Tuesday.
A joint venture of National Service Scheme (NSS) of the cradle and the forest department, the meet was flagged off with a plantation drive on the campus in the presence of Jamshedpur West MLA Banna Gupta. The students also visited Ghorabandha Theme Park to plant saplings. In this occasion, we the members of Jharkhand Children's Green club was invited by Mr. Bhutia and we had planted around 500 saplings the Theme park. Total more than 1 millions of samplings will be planted in Jharkhand within next one month.
"The Dhalbhum forest department will offer platforms to those students who are keen to study about forest, environment and climate change. The department is interested in roping in green enthusiasts for several activities that will offer them hands-on experience," said DFO Bhutia.
"I want to urge the college authorities to encourage students to visit villages where the forest department undertakes a lot of activities. Also, various micro plans are run under the state rural development department. Those interested can take part in trips related to the micro plans, which will enrich their knowledge," added Bhutia.
Not only field visits, the students can also chip in with their ideas to the forest department.
"As research topics, students can choose biodiversity of nearby areas, climate change and water management. They can also indulge in studies related to the industrial set-up here. City industries submit their own pollution reports to the department. Students can help them conduct proper research," Kumar said. Various other city colleges also celebrated Van Mahotsav through tree plantation programmes.

This was organized by Government forest department. In this rainy season we are expecting God will support us for watering. The trees those are required less water were planted.

What type of saplings have been planted in the Theme Park ? Who will water those saplings ?
Planting sapling is good but nurturing them is more important.
