Jakarta, Indonesia - Ministry of Finance, Agus Martowardojo stated that the government will prioritize the incentive for national car: low cost green car (LCGC), rather than a hybrid one. The technology for LCGC has been more well prepared since a long time ago and now is ready to come in industrialization stage. While the hybrid car is still in innovation development stage.

Indonesia government wants to produce the local car. Whether it will be hybrid or LCGC, the vision needs to be reached, which is it will be produced in Indonesia. But the problem for hybrid car, it still depends on foreign supports. Therefore, Ministry of Finance prefer to give incentives for LCGC first for now.

However, the government still welcomes the technology development of hybrid car to be implemented for national cars in the future. If there is a good progress, of course the incentive will come down.

From this news, we can take the lesson that in order to take a right decision, we have to consider the payoff of every alternatives. Environment is about long-term vision, so we have to aware that it's not only talking about the now-condition. Think for the future, do for the present
