|BRAZIL| The First Vertical Gardens are under Construction

by Luiz Bispo | 24-08-2015 08:08 recommendations 0

There are some buildings in São Paulo city (Brazil) that will gain a green view. In other words, the buildings shall get a sort of vertical garden. Plants will be attached to the external sides. The structure started to be built on 4th of July and the project was approved by the Environmental Ministry of Brazil.

In the layout of each building there is a side that there is no window or gap. It is exactly on these sides that engineers will attach the vertical gardens.

The initiative provides not just landscape status but mainly environmental advantages. Due to the plants that will surround the buildings, the amount of greenhouse gases will decrease and people will gain a better air quality. Moreover, the green cover works as a thermal insulation decreasing heating level and a method to decrease noise pollution.

Every building members and managers located close to the area can apply to get permission and right to set up a vertical garden.

In particular, I reckon that it is a great step towards sustainable development. Imagine how awesome could be whether every building in the world had a vertical garden. What a revolution! I hope someday our mother Earth will gain this green wave in all cities! What we need to keep doing is work hard. In light of this, our environmental wishes will come true.
