using RNAi to conserve environment and protection from disease |

RNAi is a scientific technique called gene silencing this can be used to conserve environment. its a natural mechanism in all the viruses for conserving environment. we can enhance this mechanism by using natural plant phermones and can reduce up to 50% use of chemicals. chemicals destroy our environment. and also effects water resources we can reduce the use of these chemicals by controlling viruses by using RNAi technique. this can be a good scientific and environmental conservation response for green livings.RNA interference is thought to require near-identity between the small interfering RNA (siRNA) and its cognate mRNA. Here, we used gene expression profiling to characterize the specificity of gene silencing by siRNAs in cultured human cells. Transcript profiles revealed siRNA-specific rather than target-specific signatures, including direct silencing of nontargeted genes containing as few as eleven contiguous nucleotides of identity to the siRNA. These results demonstrate that siRNAs may cross-react with targets of limited sequence similarity.
