U.S. Senate passed tougher Chemical bill

by | 07-08-2012 03:44 recommendations 0

Politics are the same every where. All the republican senators voted 'no';however, the symbolic bill which requires chemical companies to provide more health and safety information passed the Senate committee on July 25, 2012.

Backing from the research which connects toxic chemicals to cancers, learning disabilities and other health problems, the Senate committee put chemical companies in charge of proving the safety of their products to consumers.

The Safe Chemical Act would be the first  federal chemical law since 1976.
