Jakarta is Indonesian capital, it produce garbage about 6000 ton per days.  All this time, garbage from jakarta were collected in a place named Bantar Gebang.  This place had an area about 110 hektar and operated since 1988, before 2009 all garbage were stuck like that, there?s no effort to utilize it.  Between 2009 and 2010, govenrment give permission to Navigate company to utilize garbage by taking the methan gas and turn it into electrical power.  It start with pile up garbage until it became like a hill, then we insert some tube to the hill.  The tube will drain methan gas from hill to power plant, power plant will transform it into electrical power.  Now it can supply 26 megawatt per day, beside that navigate company also done something new such as fertilization area, gasification area, landfill and anaerobic digestion.  Those thing are a few ways to utilize waste and using it for something usefull.
    A few months before, I visiting this place.  By looking closer, a lot of people were work here as a scavenger, they live depend on this place.  Garbage became they primary sector to find some money, this case also show us that environmental problem is always related to economic field.  If we can use garbage as something usefull, it?s not just environment but economic field also grown up and became better.
    In Indonesia, it?s something new, and looking from number of garbage that major city produce, it?s a good start to make a better environment.  Bantar Gebang is a real example how we suppose to exploit waste, it can reduce  bad impact to environment, and waste problem is also related to economic sector.
