The Green initiatives of Tunza Eco Gen shared with school cricket team

by | 22-10-2015 02:37 recommendations 0

The  various Green initiatives of our Tunza eco generation  has been shared with our school cricket team on 20th. Oct?15 . At present I am studying at St. Aloysius Senior secondary school Sadar, Jabalpur, India where I joined only 2 months back. Daily in the afternoon we play cricket under the guidance of Dr. Charles, our coach.

Myself and my brother Shibajyoti are  regular players. We had  earlier discussed many environmental issues with our friends to encourage them to take green action besides our play and study.

I shared the various programs and also the opportunity to work for environment protection under the guidance of Tunza. I distributed the cards and pens ( supplied by Tunza eco gen ) to the team to encourage them for green initiatives and requested to attach with our Tunza Eco generation group.

After learning about the essay contest my friends are very enthusiastic   to take part in  2016 Global Youth Eco-Leadership Summit at Seoul during Feb?16 and most of them will try to send an essay to get selected from India. The under 15 team members are happy to learn about Tunza and are planning to be a part of it.

Our coach  is also very  keen for the nature protection and in spite of facing difficulties to train the team in our small ground,  he never encouraged the cutting of the neighbouring trees to  increase the playground area. If  we find the playground ground littered with plastics we clean it ourselves and try our best to maintain its cleanliness. Most of our friends including myself we, prefer cycling to the playground no matter how far we live . After our day?s training is over we are at last  permitted to drink water. All the players after quenching their own thirst with the remaining water left in their bottles we water the near by plants.
