Seems like Rio City is investing in public transport recently. The authorities intend to set up a green train system which would not be polluted, run by sustainable energy and with wi-fi. The question raised in public is: Would you leave your car in the garage to take this transport?
Always the train triggers the brake, a system of energy building start to work. So, the train itself produce energy. Due to the Brazil's financial crisis and oil price increasing, more people started to use public transportation. But the idea, is to keep the positive increasing rate of public transport even when there is not crisis. Rio Government and the World Bank is supporting the development of the train system. That is also because of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. SOURCE: Eco Desenvolvimento |

Green train system with wi-fi?? I will certainly leave my car in the garage though. So much advantages when taking public transport, even when it is run by green energy. I can save my money and I help to reduce carbon emission.

It's a good step for Brazil to invest in public transportation. However, developing countries must be intricate enough to invest on SUSTAINABLE technology. Given that modern day technology boasts a large arsenal of green and efficient means of public transportation, this should be no problem for the government to choose wisely. Cheaper does not mean better.

Rama, good to know. Unfortuanately, people are more motivated to use public ones when there is something economical involved. Lets work to change people's mind and make them use public transportation more and more. =D Thanks for the comment.

Very nice to know. Let me tell you something that we also prefer using public vehicles these days, here in Nepal also but unfortunately it is due to the 2 months long economic blocked
rather than the awareness or something!!!!
