Mountain Climbing Clothes Pollute Nature

When you look at people going to the mountains, you may observe that most of them wearing colorful clothes. Green Peace has found Perfluorinated Compounds in 10 remote areas around the world, and they say that it was transported by wind and water. The US and EU have decided to stop use or decrease the amount they use in everyday material like clothing or sleeping bags. PFOA, a type of Perfluorinated Compound, is a material used to make mountain clothing, shoes, and many different kinds of outdoor supplies. However, it has turned out that there are many problems with the material. They say that the harmfulness to people has not been proved, but many experiments on animals have shown cases of the decrease on the level of immunity, or even cancer. Korea, having many companies that make outdoor supplies such as Kolon and Prospecs, is on the outlook for the material being used. As Korea has many mountains, people enjoy hiking and a lot of them have many different kinds of outdoor supplies.  Green Peace has found around 10 Korean companies that use Perfluorinated Compounds and the Korean Ministry of Environment is trying to decrease the amount bring used and warning people about how harmful the material is. The companies announced that they will take notice of Perfluorinated Compounds and try their best to help protect the environment.
