I started my green journey 3 years back and since then I never looked back. Each and every step towards saving our earth from carbon emissions, was motivating and gave me a feeling of achievement. I felt my life to be edging towards a worthy cause. Workshops, environmental networking platforms like Tunza Eco gen, environmental awareness events and campaign happening around me reinforced my knowledge and it opened number of options for me that enabled me to do environmental work more passionately.

I started year 2016 on a very positive note as I promised myself that I will live a more  environment friendly  life than last year. I feel planting trees are the best way to make our environment clean as it emits more oxygen and hence cleaner air for all of us. Since UAE has a tropical desert climate, maintenance of greenery is not easy but we can plant climate friendly trees specific to the region like ghaf, mangroves etc.  Such trees provide ecological benefit to the environment of UAE. I want to plant  more such trees this year along with my team, friends and family.  

Like every year this year on January 1^st again I resolved my decision to take my environmental work to further heights but this time I was not alone in taking resolutions. I involved my team members and my friends also to take up the green resolutions. I asked them to write a poster with their resolutions and take a picture. Everyone was excited about writing a resolution. I also told them to follow what they write in the best possible way.  I told them about my journey towards greener life so that they feel motivated. I asked them to take small steps at home first like switching off unnecessary lights, asking their parents to segregate the waste at home, using energy efficient bulbs at home etc.

I was overwhelmed to see the response of the children as they promised to be my companion in my green journey.
