Tourism is a fastest growing service sector in India. We know that September -27 was celebrated as World Tourism day. But in spite of the pros, it's also a sector which causes environmental issues due to expansion and growth of the tourist spots. A big question being asked is how the deprivation process can be controlled with more and more tourist spots emerging day by day. The solution lies in the concept given at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg. The summit gave sustainable tourism as the Johannesburg Plan of Implementation.
After doing a small research in the field of tourism I derived something which can be done in India. I have found that the foreign tourists are aware only about the main tourist spots of urban India but there are many rural areas of India which can be converted into a tourist spot. These potential rural areas can be developed into a tourist spot without harming the environment. Development should be done on a limited scale. Only such developments should be encouraged which would be mutually beneficial. This will help in maintaining the environment as well as developing rural areas without harming the environment. The rural development can be achieved by employment generation, promotion of skills of local artisan and craftsman, alternative earning for rural households etc. The implementation of this concept in rural areas will help in sustaining the natural beauty and serenity of the place. Home stays should be arranged for accommodation and construction of any other resorts or hotels should be discouraged. After the research I found out that this type of tourism will not only widen the scope of tourism industry but will also give a whole new dimension to sustainable development
The tourism spots in India is losing its natural beauty due to environmental issues like pollution, climate change etc this concept of sustainable rural tourism can be valuable for developing the tourism industry in rural areas. As the majority of people staying in rural areas are economically weak and placed below poverty line this concept can also help in reduction of poverty and more importantly the development will be carried out by protecting the environment making this a green and successful idea.

Good idea Prabhul~
There are few principals of Sustainable(or Fair) Tourism.
As long as I remember, It shouldn't harm on the nature of the place, It shouldn't change the local community peoples life in a huge scale and so on.
