Greenhood Nepal is founded by a group of passionate youth who have been working for biodiversity conservation and social entrepreneurship development. Greenhood is established with the vision to involve young minds in taking action towards sustainable future and proper utilization of natural resources.

Nepal went through a state of prolonged political instability marred by civil war, which favored for the growth of rampant corruption, illegal wildlife trade, and massive deforestation. Even after the peace process, the situation, rather than being vanished, turned out to be a culture. Greenhood envisions educating, inspiring and engaging youths in biodiversity conservation throughout the nation.
Greenhood believes that young minds can persuade change in people attitude towards biodiversity conservation and ensure a better place for people and planet.

Nepal is home to endangered wildlife species like one horned Rhino and Tiger. Such endangered wildlife species is on the verge of extinction mainly due to massive poaching. The main factor leading the poaching is huge international demand and trade.

Wildlife Trafficking and trade has been a soaring black market worth an estimated more than 10 billion to 20 billion USD per year. This has caused the world's wildlife population to decline. The wildlife species are important not only for ecosystem but also for economy of our country. NRs. 83.1 million was collected by Chitwan National Park alone on fiscal year 2067/68 primarily due to wildlife tourism. This will be possible unless and until we have such wildlife species. Therefore, there should be strong initiative in place without any delay to protect such species from poaching, trade, and extinction. The young generation could play highly effective role in the conservation of such endangered wildlife species. Therefore, it is necessary to inspire, educate, and involve young people on conservation.

Keeping this fact into consideration, Greenhood Nepal has come up with a project titled ?Conservation School? to produce Young Conservation Leaders through conservation education so that they will not only educate and inspire others for conservation but also play strong role in avoiding wildlife poaching and trade at local and national level.

Conservation School, conserve you by conserving nature is a three days residential conservation leadership school. It aims to bring together young people for familiarizing them with conservation issues and the development of leadership skills for a change. 'Conservation School' is to produce Young Conservation Leaders through conservation education so that they will not only educate and inspire others for conservation but also play strong role in environmental conservation and avoiding wildlife poaching and trade at local and national level.

Kumar Paudel founder, president of Greenhood Nepal dreamed about this school since his university graduation on environmental science." this one is the first batch, we are planning other batch too national to international" said Kumar paudel. In this program student have exciting performing and they really perform their role absolutely. The participants from different school of Sindupalchok district with teacher put their view on the biodiversity conservation.

The participants are from 20 different School of Sidhupalchok district. At the Conservation school they had set their vision and action plan on poster. After completion the program they will set a club in their school and execute their action plan. They have committed that their club will response with the conservation activities. They have also committed that they will make their family aware of this and family family make community aware of this finally whole district will become aware of this and this initiation will be beneficial for the nation.

The program was closed by the Ashoka Fellow Mgegh Ale. He commented that it?s really great initiative in the context of Nepal and requested to the Kumar paudel to go on with the works on all over Nepal and Southasia too. He added that Nepal has huge resource and rich in the biodiversity so Nepal should have initiate this types of program. In asia pacific region Nepal is top most country in the flora and fauna though it is small country. In this way the program become a nice initiative and Mr.Paudel has commited to go on with this work on all over Nepal.

After getting information about conservation school at Sindupalchok district of Nepal I met President of Greenhood Nepal Mr.paudel and talked with him about those types of issue. I have also committed to Mr.Paudel for support this program as being the 9th eco generation ambassador to Nepal. I have aslo promised him that I will collaborate with the Greenhood Nepal for these initiatives for the conservation of endangered flora and fauna. I added him, being the part of Tunza eco generation it?s my responsibility and duty to work in the conservation sectors and environmental activities in the Nepal. So, whenever you need I will help to organize such types of any activities in future days. Then he is hopeful to get help from me and we are deciding the next program as soon as when possible.
