Participated in Safe & Sound 2012 Pink Walkathon and Brand Ambassador Protect Your Mom initiative- Health Awareness is Essential especially when it can cost a life of your loved ones Nearly 75-100 of the students from The Millennium School and Cosmo Foundation Youth members including myself took part in the event. BurJuman Safe & Sound campaign, one of most extensive Breast Cancer Awareness Programs in the Middle East, today organized its biggest and popular community driven annual event – the Safe & Sound Pink Walkathon –on November 2, 2012 at 8.30 am. An annual charitable, non-competitive event aimed at raising both awareness and funds for breast cancer, the Safe & Sound Pink Walkathon. The Pink Walkathon attracted large participation in 2011, and saw close to 13,000 women, men and children participate in the walk. The new venue accommodated an even larger number of walkers and provided them with a lovely and picturesque environment. The entertainment had live musical acts and performances, a children area, a fantastic bazaar, eats and treats, roaming entertainers, drumming session and more. Another very active campaign running in the UAE – PROTECT YOUR MOM, which has effectively and actively engaged students and youth to raise awareness and organized many competitions too. I am passionately promoting and represent PROTECT YOUR MOM INITIATIVE AS THEIR BRAND AMBASSADOR FOR THE MILLENNIUM SCHOOL DUBAI. Other activities worth a mention are – A month-long event — Dubai Goes Pink - organized by Breast Cancer Arabia which started on October 4, and Riding the Pink Caravan (http://www.pinkcaravan.ae) |

There are many similar campaigns in Korea to down breast cancer.
It's really important to find the cancer early.
Great job, Simran!
