Visit Indonesia in 15 mins |
---|
Thailand - Cultural night is a must in any kind of exchange program. So is in the ASEAN Youth Exchange Program, held by ASEAN Studies Center of Chulalongkorn University. In gathering 300 delegates from 10 countries members of ASEAN, they also gave us time to have cultural exchange.Indonesian delegates has prepared a unique performance - visiting Indonesian' diversity on cultures and archipelago through the audio visual of slideshow as well as live drama. Here you are the story...Starting from the love story of Rama (starring Caesar) and Sinta (starring Vania Santoso), they were separated by the bad guys.. This couple tried to find one another to make their love comes true. Finally, Rama arrived in Sumatera island, and he was welcomed by the Saman Traditional Dance. On the other side, Sinta began her adventure into Bali island and met 5 men dancing Kecak. In short, Rama and Sinta went from one island to another island until they met one another, performing the cultural dance from Sulawesi, Kalimantan, and Papua - followed with the choir of Indonesian delegates singing Ampar-ampar pisang, Rasa Sayange, and Yamko rambe Yamko. After that meeting, they both held the marriage celebration based on Javanese tradition. The first performance was Remo dance, which was continued with the ceremony, called as Balangan Suruh, Wiji Dadi, Pukpuk, Sinduran, Kacar kucur, Dhahar Klimah, Mertui and Sungkeman. The performance was closed by the choir singing national anthem - Indonesia Pusaka.
