Solar Cooker: Cooking without Exhaust Gas |

Climate change and the scarcity of fossil fuels are the biggest challenges mankind is facing today. The issue of energy should be acknowledged not only by professionals and scholars, but also the society. As the young generation of the world, we must be prepared take on the responsibility to face the energy challenges. The scarcity of fossil fuels it affects more and more use of alternative energy. One of these is solar energy. Today, solar energy is not only used as a vehicle fuel, but also for daily needs such as for cooking. This tool is called the solar cooker. Interesting! All we have to do is just putting the solar cooker under the sunlight, then we can cook anything. This tool does not produce exhaust gas because it uses light energy from the sun and then convert it into heat energy. Here's the good points of the solar cooker. But, I just got the large one so it was difficult to carry it everywhere. Hopefully there is a small one so that I can take it when I do mountaineering and hiking. |

It looks like an awesome gadget! It doesn't use fossil fuels or electricity, and it can be used almost everywhere.. It would be great if it gets commercialized.

I have been encouraging this in Kenya! I alternatively use a solar cooker made of cardboard and metal foil. Its cheaper for the rural villagers to make and it can be folded and carried easily!

You have rightly pointed out the issue...sizing of the cooker. Apart from that, may be the installation cost also an issue
