But the most important thing is, this is one of the largest corporations in Thailand, and also the only company from Thailand that listed in the Fortune GLobal 500 Companies, which ranks 128 among top 500 companies in the world. Such an honor to be there. At that moment, Mr. Pitipan Tepartimargorn as the Senior Executive Vice President of HUman Resources & Organization Excellence from PTT gave a presentation about how they handle the energy resources. They classified into 3 parts, security (consists of energy self-reliance, stable & diverse energy supply), economy (the competitiveness and domestic jobs that can be created), and environment (mainly focus on producing clean air for a better health without burning the non-renewable energy). In short, PTT aims to foster energy security, create sustainability, and strengthen economy for Thailand. Thus, it has short term plan through securing energy supply at competitive price, expanding investment in energy infrastructure development, and providing varieties of high quality products & world class services. While its long term plans are creating value adds to natural gas from the Gulf of Tahiland, developing alternative energy (e.g. NGV/gasohol/biodiesel), enhancing social & environmental responsibility, and building high performance organization to good governance. More about the energy saving devices application is the use of Double Skin ==> outer skin using reflective glass to reduce heat transfer to the inner, while innter skin using low e glass. By doing this way, the company can save energy of using air conditioner. Even, PTT also provides the solar system for operational activities |
