Energy power plant of Korea

by | 16-02-2013 11:04 recommendations 0

While there have been positive opinions about a notable rise of public awareness regarding the environmental protection and preservation, the fact is that still so many are negligent about taking actual actions to save the environment.: even though so much could be done to protect the Earth's environment in just simple ways like using less air-conditioner and heater, people keep forget about these trivial steps they could take.  At this point, television advertisements could work as a huge influence and definite enlightenment for citizens to better think for the environment.  The one I am about to introduce is a 30-second cut from Korea.

(referred from : The Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation (KOBACO) - you may check out the actual advertisement through the link above.

Subtitles and !--script--s read by voice actor is as below,

Running power plant

Emptying power plant

Dancing power plant

Light-shutting power plant

50 million power plants of Korea

You, as an economical energy user,

are the energy power plant of Korea.

What this ad tries to imply is that the power of individuals' efforts to save energy through simple ways such as riding a bike equals the 50 million energy-producing power plants.  As the advertisement states, individual's effort to use less energy and think long-term for greener environment exceedingly overwhelms the possible influence of creating one big power plant.  However the point is that we all should gather and show clustered efforts, as working as individuals will decenter the original influence.  Let us all gather and take our steps together toward a better future!

Thanks for the info! That sure was a touching and inspiring ad on TV. It was one of the first non-commercial ads on the environment.
