Kehkashan Basu – appointed as UNEP?s Global Coordinator for Children and Youth |

I have been appointed by UNEP as a Global Coordinator for their Major Group for Children and Youth . As a result, I am now a member of UNEP?s Major Groups Facilitating Committee and will facilitate my MGs and Stakeholders engagement with UNEP in the Global Major Groups and Stakeholders Forum (GMGSF) cycle. I am not only the youngest ever to hold this position but this is also the first time that a minor has been elected into this role. I took charge in Nairobi, Kenya at the UNEP headquarters during the annual conference of the Major Groups Facilitating Committee.
