We will never give up... It is our chyallenge

by | 28-03-2013 05:48 recommendations 0

Several sectors of the environment have been placed in danger in Tunisia following the January 14th Revolution.. However, the biggest problem especially after the revolution is piles of trash all over the Tunisian streets. Many factors increased these piles of trash such as: luck of management, strikes of trash collectors and bad behaviours of citizens.
In fact, the trash collectors are demanding a salary raise and being part of social security. However, citizens can?t stand the problems with trash piles in cities.
Tunisian government have been working to solve this annoying problem. But, It is not enough. Trash piles are increasing day by day.
Many non-governmental organizations and environmental associations are working hardly to improve the environmental conditions and help trash collectors do complete their work.
Sfax el mezeina is one these associations and I am an active member in it. We are working very hard to protect our city and sensitize people about environment protection.
We are scarifying our studies, health, jobs and time to collect trash .
Many people, children, elder, trash collectors help us to improve our environmental condition.
We did more than ten cleaning campaign. We collected trash and recyclable !--object--s. We are willing to continue our work and achieve our aims.
However, we are still waiting for government initiatives..
