TERI TETRA-PAK Project SEARCH launch.

by | 30-04-2013 19:49 recommendations 0

I regret not being able to post an article due to unit tests and FAs. This is an account of my participation in Project SEARCH ph-V launch on 16 april 2013.
.
Project SEARCH is a green initiative promoting green living and recycling. It promotes green values among students and encourages them to act in an eco friendly way always and be a role model for others!
.
The day started with introductory speeches and welcome. We witnessed some beautiful dance performances. The students wonderfully depicted their talent. The dance performances showed how the once all blooming nature is being distorted by our miscreant actions. A number of ways were suggested to correct our mistakes.
.
My personal favorite was  a play performed by students named "The Green Donkey". It was the story of a donkey who died because a polythene bag got stuck in its throat as it was eating grass. When the dead donkey's soul is sent to lord, the god sends it back to earth with the ability to speak. It files a case against humans to have made its mother (which turns out to be mother earth) ill. The whole act was a pure comedy with satire showcasing the human society's cruelties and how, in the end, humans' lawyer blames the donkey itself to have caused pollution.
.
The guest of honor was Robert Charles Swan  (the first person to walk to both Poles).  He shared about his life and his childhood and motivated us all. It was a sheer pleasure to be there!.

Neha : haha Dear. well it ended on a rather serious note. A beautiful speech was given by the student who played the role of the judge and a pledge of acting green was taken.

Great Geetika to know the Donkey story. What was the outcome of the case filed by the donkey? Is it like"Hey folks, Our race is wiser than the humans. Long live Green Donkeys. Send the humans to their garbage hell"
