The follow up of World Water Day 2013 was held on 4th May 2013. Volunteer for Bangladesh celebrated this in cooperation with United Nations International Year of Water & supported by CocaCola. World Water Day 2013 was held on 22nd March. On that program awareness was raised about using clean water including methods of water purification.

This follow up was held in the slum of Rayerbazar in Dhaka. The volunteers of VBD made home-made water purification system which is comparably easier to make, cost-effective and the materials are locally accessible and can be available at a lower cost.

The volunteers divided in three teams and made in total 9 such filters for water purification. The event took place for three hours and at the end the filters were distributed among the slum peoples. The event was coordinated by the General Secretary of Volunteer for Bangladesh, Dhaka District Osama Bin Noor.
