Ecophilia on June 4 was a great start to celebrations prior to World Environment day .Ecophilia is inter school eco competition which was held by Our Own English High School,boys, Al Warqa ,Dubai.There were various competitions which included fancy dress, eco- innovation, drawing, painting,and eco-dance.I am glad to have been a part of it.
The fancy dress competition was a real treat to watch. Pollution ,eco-heroes Mother earth and ban plastic were some of the common themes of the fancy dress competition.We danced to the theme of oil spill and its effect on birds.I choreographed the dance to the instrumental flute music of a Bollywood movie Hero.I danced as the bird.It was sheer joy participating in the event. Ecophilia exhibited the talent of children in art and eco-innovations.The winners were honoured .I wish more such inter-school eco-events do take place in UAE
