2013 WED: Green Hope UAE activities – Part 2 |

Green Hope UAE has been greatly encouraged by Dubai Municipality and we have had the privilege of being associated with their projects on several occasions for the past many months. The projects we have worked with them include waste segregation campaign , desert clean ups , Clean Up The World for which we received a special award and most recently their landfill greening project at their waste disposal facility in Jebel Ali. We painted messages of WED 2013 at specially designed tree pots and we also planted 100+ saplings. The pictures of our campaign featured on the UNEP WED website. Amongst the thousands of entries worldwide , it was indeed a privilege for us that our entry was chosen by UNEP . Khaleej Times carried the story . |

Hi Ecogen and all members . Dubai Municipality provided saplings to Green Hope members and we jointly planted them on the tree pots . Several saplings were jointly planted by us and the inaugural planting was done by senior Municipality manager whose picture appears in the report above. We planted several saplings in each tree pot and then painted the walls . This can be checked with Dubai Municipality.
