INFORMATION SHARING PROGRAM AT FAR-WESTERN REGION OF NEPAL |

I had dream to organize the Tunza eco-generation information sharing programme at Far Western Development Region of Nepal, which I have done by the date of 2013/07/08.The program held at Sudur Paschimanchal Academy (Far Western Academy) of the region. The programmme organized under the presidency of Myself Mr. Ganga Datt Awasthi.Chief guest of the programme was Science faculty coordinator Mr. Keshab Raj Joshi, Guests Mr.Bal bahadur Bist and Mr.Laxmi Datt Joshi and five volunteers. The welcome session started by Mr. Dipendra Prasad Awasthi and welcomed all the participants. There were more than 40 youth participants in the program. First, I have informed them about the Tunza Eco generation networking platform.First, I have asked them do you know about UNEP, SAMSUNG Engineering and Tunza eco generation .They replied we do not know but a little bit know about SAMSUNG Engineering. Then I have made clear on the UNEP, Tunza eco generation and what they are doing in the field of environment,what are the opportunities in Tunza eco generation,What are information required us about the environment in the website,how to use the Eco generation networking platform. They were happy that they knew the new informtaion about environmental activities.They replied we will join Tunza Eco generation platform and will gather the information neededfor us.Few student are engaged in the Green Clean Dhangadhi organization whose main goal is to make green and clean their own village. Most of them are from remote area so they do not know about such networking activities but they thanked me for providing useful information. They appreciate me in the way that I have organized the program at that region although it is very far away from Chitwan.Such informative program does not reach at this region and they request me to bring the productive program in this region in future so that we will be greattful to you. They have replied that most of the program are organized at developed region of Nepal but Far western region only few program organized but all those program are not access to rural people. I promised them if any program I will have from Tunza eco generation I will keep this region in the 1st priority according to your interest. Infomation sharing about the solid waste management, green quiz contest and their response to join Eco generation are also cumulative part of the program. In this way, I have organized first information sharing program from Tunza Ecogeneration at Far Western Development Region of Nepal.Hope they will join Eco generation network. |

Great work Ganga. Yes Far-western is very much backward in developed but I would say it the place in Nepal that has unharvested resources.
Its our responsibility to give a hint about it,and you have taken a step for it..BRAVO..
