The campaign of cleaning Bagmati river every saturday is very nice act to aware people and make them realize the importance of holy bagmati river. But it's really sad that the waste management system in Kathmandu is very poor. The strict rules and programs need to be implemented from government sectors to minimize it.

Clean up campaigns are certainly good to clean up the river. I agree with Tanverjit that we should endeavour NOT to throw waste in water bodies. I feel campaigns like these every Saturday would certainly make people realise that one should not pollute these rivers and manage/dispose our waste responsibly. Thanks for the post.

Clean-ups solely won't help . We need to take oath to not to throw any waste in these rivers or anywhere around us .
    Thanks for reporting.
