On the occasion of the International Day of Forests, March 21 of each year, the forest province of Oran State in cooperation with the Green Network Office organized a big celebration worthy of this international event at the level of the fold of Msila forest (Boutlélis) under the slogan "To Preserve The Forest, Because Every Drop Of Water Is Important ".
This demonstration saw a large turnout by subscribers both associations and voluntary groups involving under the Green Network, and Oran families, the number of participants exceeded 4,000 people, the celebration witnessed:
- An exhibition by : the Department of Forestry, Technological Institute Of Sea Fishing And Aquaculture and associations
- Fish farming in water basin in partnership with the Technological Institute of sea fishing and aquaculture
- The launch of birds in the reserve
- Afforestation campaign, Where more than 1000 trees were planted
- Cycling Tour for a distance of 20 km
- Exploratory walking tour at a distance of 6 km
- Honored 40 retired of forestry sector.
- Clean-up campaign.
This event was with the participation of each of the following entities:
- Local authorities
- National Gendarmerie
- Civil Protection
- Customs
- The Committee of Agriculture and Forestry
- Fisheries Directorate
- Youth and Sports Directorate
- Directorate of National Education
- Technological Institute Of Sea Fishing And Aquaculture
- University of Oran 2 "Mohamed Ben Ahmed"
- Algerian Muslim Scouts
- 25 Association, including " Trisomy 21" association since this day is also the World Down Syndrome Day.

It is a glad news that International Day of Forests is being highlighted and promoted all over the globe, as well as in Algeria. 4000 people, that should have been a lot!
