The environmental impacts are clear the list is vast, well known and depressing.Climate change is one of them and its here with us and here to stay. Environmental technology, green technology or clean technology is the application of one or more of environmental science, green chemistry, environmental monitoring and electronic devices to monitor, model and conserve the natural environment and resources, and to curb the negative impacts of human involvement.
1. Proper Post Harvest Technology In agriculture and food production the opportunity is enormous, both economically and morally. One -third of all food produced for human consumption is lost or wasted before it is eaten, the UN?s Food and Agricultural Organization estimates that this equals to $750 billion. So, reducing food being wastage can be achieved by proper post harvesting technologies like cold storage, preservation, and conversion of food.
Nepal had been practicing post harvest practices since age but still we have insufficient facilities to be assessed by all Nepalese. Its always worthy to save food from being lost than to increase production.
2. Biogas stoves Deforestation is a complex issue, and it?s looking more and more likely that we will have to pay people to maintain forestlands. But until such a system is up and running, we will need to focus on technologies that reduce the need to cut down trees. One such technology is biogas stoves, powered by methane released from rotting organic waste, which would otherwise be released into the atmosphere.
Biogas production practices are taking head start in Nepal since decades. People here are more positive on using biogas, as it is cheap, saves environment. Government also aided people for construction of Biogas plant.
3. Electric Vehicles Electric Vehicles have a bad reputation when it comes to style and speed, two factors that matter to car enthusiasts. And with running costs as little as 5% those of fuels models, electric vehicles will soon start to look like a more viable option.
People are using Car, Bus, Motorcycle powered by Electricity in Nepal. If it is more cheap than existing fuel vehicles, it would be affordable to everyone.
4. Solar Power Sunlight is free and abundant, and could provide much more electricity than we need. Commercial solar power has been around since the 1970s, but it's only just now starting to become affordable enough to make a real impact on energy use.
5. Wind Power Wind power is the cheapest and the most widespread renewable energy today. Wind power, as an alternative to burning fossil fuels, is plentiful, renewable, widely distributed, clean, produces no greenhouse gas emissions during operation, and uses little land.
6. Energy-Efficient Buildings Energy efficient buildings are need of today, we need to save energy either it is renewable or non-renewable cause the scenario is changing and we might not get them all time we desired. Lighting comprises 19% of all of the electricity used worldwide, so more efficient lighting technologies could take a good-sized bite out of carbon emissions. In the next 10 years, some significant adoption of LED lighting technologies.
Heating and cooling systems offer another big opportunity to cut carbon. So, Solar heating can be adopted.
7. Sewage treatment Sewage treatment is the process of removing contaminants from wastewater, primarily from household sewage. It includes physical, chemical, and biological processes to remove these contaminants and produce environmentally safe treated wastewater (or treated effluent). A by-product of sewage treatment is usually a semi-solid waste or slurry, called sewage sludge that has to undergo further treatment before using them as fertilizers. So we can get fertilizer and water at same time.
8. Environmental Biotechnology It is the optimal use of nature, in the form of plants, animals, bacteria, fungi and algae to produce renewable energy, food and nutrients in a synergistic integrates cycle of profit making processes where the waste of each process becomes the feedstock for another process. Microbial organisms help in decomposition of sewage and make them reusable in agricultural field as fertilizers. Also they are important part of nitrogen fixation, which reduces use of chemical fertilizers t some extent.

Sujan, thanks for nicely arranging green technologies that we can find. Since all countries have different regional characteristics, it is vital for each nation to find the most appropriate technology and utilize it. Thanks to Sujan, I could also think of what may be the best technology that my country can adopt. Have a great day!
