I am glad to share the report as an invited guest to visit the Solar Impulse a few months back. Solar Impulse 2 is the only airplane of perpetual endurance, able to fly day and night on solar power, without a drop of fuel. It was an amazing experience for me to be a part of this historic viewing just few days before it took off for first-around- the-world mission, from Abu Dhabi, the capital city of United Arab Emirates. The Solar Impulse team was hosted by Masdar and Abu Dhabi testing training and community engagement ahead of the first solar- powered flight around the world. Solar Impulse 2 is flying around the world to Abu Dhabi and back. We do have technology today and we need to continuously work for better future |

Thanks for reporting, Simran. I read many articles on this project. This project did receive international attention, seeing from the amount of news you get when you google the project. But to see the plane and meet the related people are totally different from just reading news online! Hope the experience gave you much inspiration and glad you decided to tell us of the details! :D

First of all, hearty congrats on the invitation, Simran! Surely, it would've been a thrilling and enriching experience to see the world's first solar-powered aircraft. The UAE's incessant efforts towards a greener tomorrow made it an ideal starting point for the Solar Impulse. Thanks for the report:)

We have been reading various reports from ambassadors all around the world regarding Solar impulse, but this one is different-coming from someone invited as guest to Solar Impulse. Must have been exciting to meet the team and the solar powered plane itself too. Thanks for sharing.
