It was yet another pleasant moment to be part of MUN, to be the organizer and lead another MUN session. Yes, just after a month of our first LeoMUN ver 1.0, our team launched LeoMUN ver 2.0 at National Level.
Conducted between April 15-16, 2016 Chitwan Central Leo of which I am Charter Secretary launched another Model United Nation at Agriculture and Forestry University. The LEOMUN was carried out at Food and Agriculture Organization Model and its main agenda was ?Ensuring Global Food and Nutrition Security?.
I stayed as Secretary General of MUN meanwhile the MUN was chaired by Chewan Rai brother (who is also Founding President of Youth Thinker Society that carries out Everest International MUN). Pasan Rai acted as co-Chair and Leo Sujan Adhikari as Rapporteur. Likewise Leo Susmita GAire was Internaitonal Journalist and Leo Bibek Ghimire and Leo Pujan Dhakal were Photo Journalist. Similarly, Leo Saroj Khatiwada, Leo Prarthana Neupane, Leo Dikshit Poudel, Leo Asmita Aryal and Leo Rajkumar Rijal were the facilitator of the LeoMUN ver 2.0.
We had opened up online application for the MUN and then selected participants were called upon. To our surprises we received large volume of application from different districts and colleges outside the Chitwan. And we made special arrangement for their stay.
We had divided the MUN session into two parts, First was Workshop which was carried out prior to MUN. Then from April 15-16, we began MUN in full fledge.
There were various agendas raised from fisheries diet to organic production, animal nutrition vs plant nutrition and many more. The detailed agendas will be updated by rapporteur )
Two days went in second. First day was full of diplomatic fights and likewise. Second day was all about the negotiation and cooperation.
After conclusion of the MUN, we had closing ceremony and graduation of the MUNers. We had called upon our District President of Leo District 325 B2 Nepla Leo Amit Gupta Rauniyar, Dean of Agricultre Faculty Prof Dr. Dilli Ram Baral, Associate Professor Lion Dr. Krishna Kaphle Sir and many other Head of Department and Veterinary Hospital Executive.
Seeing their students and youth negotiating and delivering speeches practicing diplomatic game was certainly great interest to our distinguished guests. No wonder I had to repeat myself so many time explaining about MUN to each of our professors. I loved doing that. WE received such appositive feedback from them.
Once again, I feel tremendously blessed to have such amazing team to work and have fun with. It gives me immense pleasure to claim us as an initiator of MUN culture to Outside-Kathmandu Valley in Nepal and also in our Leo community.
We envision to make greater impact and cross our limit and hopefully make LEOMUN Global MUN someday.
