This year, Vietnam, for the first time, became the host for ASEAN Children Festival 2016, the focus of this Festival is the ASEAN youth forum debate on Environment.
Seven countries of the region joined this event were: Singapore, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam.
The students from these countries had good opportunities to exchange their cultural features and got many unforgettable experiences together.
ASEAN youth forum debate on Environment took place successfully on May 29. Through this debate, the students could work together on questions given by the organizers and they showed off their eloquence. Both audience and judges were surprised at ideas and opinion of the debaters.
Some questions given to discuss:
Super Leaders will be the superman for the Environment. Agree or disagree?
Young leaders are able to use visual art in communication for environment (by films, pictures )?
I highly appreciate the debate forum with such topics because it educates young generation not only debating skills but also the awareness about protecting environment.

I've heard of ASEAN a lot in researching about various topics from environmental technologies to just looking at current events. I live in the Philippines as well. But however, I never knew there was a youth forum and I can't wait to know more about it. It seems like a life-changing experience. Thank you for the report!
